Issue Description

When running a batch with one or more samples using Analyst® software 1.6.3., the LC pumps would not turn off when the batch was completed.

Resolution

In this instance where the pumps kept running after the batch completed, the Queue Settings indicated that the Max. Idle Time was set to 300 minutes. The Max Idle Time refers to the amount of time after the method completes that the pumps will remain running if the instrument is in Acquire mode and is idle. A typical default time for the Max Idle Time is 30-60 mins. After the Max Idle Time is complete, the instrument goes into Standby mode.

To find the Queue Options, the Configuration mode in Analyst must be selected. Then in the Tools menu chose Settings and Queue Options. Adjust the Max. Idle Time to a shorter time so that the pumps turn off more quickly after a batch is complete.
