Issue Description

After acquiring two sets of samples of known concentration, the computed values for calculated concentration were showing incorrectly for the second set of samples in an Analyst® software results table. In first set of quality control samples (rows 1-3), the calculated concentrations were correct, and comparisons to the actual concentration show that the actual and calculated values were very similar. However, the second set of quality control samples (rows 4-6) shows much higher calculated concentration compared to the actual concentration.

Resolution

If the calculated concentration is higher than expected, check the dilution factor and ensure that it is the same for all samples. In above example, the dilution factor for second set of quality control samples was set to 50, while the dilution factor for the first set of quality controls was set to 1. When the dilution factor was changed to 1 for both sets, the expected values for calculated concentration correctly appeared for both sets of quality control samples.
