MultiQuant™ or SCIEX OS Software: The Ion Ratios on the Report and Results Table Do Not Match

Issue Description

When a query file is used to calculate the ion ratio calculations in a MultiQuant™ or SCIEX OS software report, the values for the internal standards ion ratios in the report output do not match those in the results table.

Resolution

This issue is observed when the internal standards are not assigned to the analytes in the order in which they are listed on the quantitation/processing method. For example, if the internal standard transitions are listed as 1, 3, 2 in the quantitation method, but they are assigned as 1, 2, 3 to the analytes. The ion ratio calculated by the query will show the transition 2 ion ratio that matches the ion ratio for transition 3 in the results table. Similarly, the transition 3 ion ratio will match the transition 2 ion ratio in the results table. 

To resolve this issue, use the internal standard transitions in the order in which they are listed on the quantitation method or list the internal standard transitions in the quantitation method in order in which they will be assigned to the analytes.
