Reporter 3.2 Error In Analyst® Software: Unable To Cast COM Object

Issue Description

An error (see below) will appear immediately after clicking on create report using Reporter 3.2 in Analyst® Software. The error message is: Analyst Reporter. Unable to cast COM object of type 'System_ComObject' to interface type 'QuantRTLIb2.QuantRT'.


This issue occurs when SCIEX OS and Analyst software are installed on the same PC, with SCIEX OS software having been installed prior to Analyst software.

Resolution

The solution is to uninstall SCIEX OS software and reinstall it after Analyst software. Please reach out to SCIEX tech support for the uninstall and clean-up procedure for SCIEX OS software.
