Where is the file for the hardware profile used in Analyst® or Analyst TF software located?

The file corresponding to the hardware profile used in a Analyst® or Analyst TF software is located in the API Instrument project in the Analyst Data folder. The file path is: D:\Analyst Data\Projects\API Instrument\Configuration. (If the computer is not partitioned in to C and D drives, then the file path will be from the C drive.) The hardware profile has the file extension *.hwpf.

To open an acquisition method file (*.dam) in Analyst software in simulation mode, the hardware profile file from the acquisition PC can be copied over to a processing PC, and then set up in simulation mode as described in this article:
