Answer

If a component has an IS with an integrated peak, then the "IS Quality" value is the ratio of the IS peak area and the sum of the IS peak area and the area around the IS peak.

IS Quality = IS peak area / (IS peak area + Area around IS peak)

In a "no noise" situation, these areas are the same and the IS Quality is 1. An increase in the noise results in a lower value for the IS peak quality. Hence, the maximum value for the IS Quality can be 1 and the minimum value can be 0.
