Answer

1) Navigate to Control Panel\System and Security\System.  On the left-hand panel select ‘Advanced System Settings’.

2) Under the Advanced tab Click ‘Settings’ button in the ‘Performance’ section.

3) Click on the 'advanced' tab.

4) Click on 'Change'.

5) Uncheck 'automatically manage paging file size for all drives, select the volume you need to set the size for (usually C:), check 'custom size' and set the custom size.

6) If requested restart your computer.

A general recommendation for total paging file size for all drives is up to 4 times the installed RAM. A larger page file size than needed is not harmful. It just consumes usable disk space. The absolute maximum size of a paging file is 16777216 MB on Windows 10 on an NTFS drive. This is equal to 16,384 GB (or 16 TB).
